The Mars Volta – Free Thinking
I’m Writing this post as I’m listening to perhaps the greatest Mars Volta Album of all time – De-Loused! Just song after song you can feel the energy, and heart the soul they put into the music. This album was present during the changing of my life, a monumental time…when the realization of all living things, beings that in fact surround you..and which makes up your environment and you are just a product of it as it propels you into and shapes your life. What is the true meaning of life? what is it that drives us to ever be producing and consuming? do we have free thought? what is free thinking and self expression? what is the self? are we all subconscious? explaining the unknown and questioning answers… as far as I see it.. all human knowledge is based upon what other humans have thought and then figured out the ways to make it work… the human mind is evolving… becoming unaware of how important the nature is… I hope soon we can reverse the pattern… I had heard America has already logged about 80% of its natural forest and whats left is mostly in national parks… in which great thinkers saw how vital it was.. years ago..to preserve the land for all.. Its also said that the average person can see and name over 1000 corporations logos – but can barley name 10 plants… how far detached will we become? which leads me to a vision I had… I pictured the Earth Covered as one city… no one could see the stars no one wondered where they came from…
